Railway board decided to remove magazine bag, snack table from sleeper coaches

Thiruvananthapuram: The Railway board has decided to do away with needless facilities for passengers in coaches. The decision changed into taken in an effort to cap the expenditure. Hence, magazine bag and snack table will be eliminated from sleeper coaches.

It is suggested that the new coaches will not have magazine bags and snacks tables. Sources screen that those centers could be eliminated from coaches that’s already equipped with it.

Magazine luggage are arranged in AC, Non AC sleeper coaches. It is getting used to keep magazines by the passengers who travel long distance. Snacks desk in non-AC sleeper may be removed quickly.

A bogie may have seven snacks desk and over forty magazine bags. Railways estimate profit of lakhs of rupees with the aid of fending off those centers.

Railway Mechanical Engineering Director has published the list of gadgets which must be removed from coaches. The selection will be done with the approval of the railway board.

According to railway, there is no want to spend cash for centers that aren’t utilized by using all passengers.
