Kozhikode: Hotel businessman, actor and a referred to persona in the socio-cultural area N. B. Krishna Kurup died today due to respiratory ailments at the age of 81. He died in a private hospital on Tuesday at eleven in the night time. The final rites may be held today at 4 pm at Puthiyapalam crematorium.
Krishna Kurup is the proprietor of the ‘Kovilakam’ Residency in Kozhikode. He entered the hotel enterprise via beginning a catering unit on the Kozhikode railway station. He had served as state president and secretary of the Hotel and Restaurant Association. He became additionally former vice president of Malabar Chamber of Commerce and City Service Cooperative Bank and all India level office-bearer of Railway Caterers Association.
He had acted in approximately 70 Malayalam films. He is the son of Kollam Thattarathu Veettil late Narayana Kurup and late Lakshmikkutty Amma. Krishna Kurup is survived by means of his wife Bhargavi Amma and offsprings Venugopal, Radhakrishnan, Jayasree, Usha and Sobhana.
