Thrissur, the cultural capital of Kerala, will rejoice the astounding Thrissur Pooram on Wednesday. Thousands of Pooram fanatics thronged Thekkinkkadu Maidan to witness the grand temple festival.
Pooram began Wednesday morning with the procession of Cheru Poorams (the temples associated with Thrissur Pooram). Madathil Varavu, Panchavadyam, Ilanjithara melam and the colorful Kudamattam will enthral the human beings today.
Panchavadayam will begin at 11.30 in the morning and Ilanjithara melam will start at 2 at noon. Kudamattam, the most chromatic event will begin at 5.30 in the nighttime. It is expected that VIPs, such as chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan, will attain to witness Kudamattam.
The famous pooram fireworks might be held early morning Thursday at around three’o clock. Pakal Pooram that marks the fruits of Pooram festivities can be held on Thursday.
The goddesses of Paramekkavu and Thiruvambady will go back to their respective temples after the Upacharam Chollal rite on Thursday afternoon.
